I learned so much when I did #OpenSource software as a profession, working on massive projects for 15 or so years. I often have a real appreciation that the three people (you know who you are - choose amongst yourselves otherwise) from those days who were the biggest contributors to that knowledge follow me here (and are thus subject to my inane IRC / Slack ramblings once again, although with less Mini Mall, oh yeah #iykyk).

It let(s) me help influence how code is written or architected by other developers and for projects in a meaningful and effective way. I also learned a great deal about licensing and copyright, and am proud to have helped guide projects toward the right path for them.

Apropos of nothing.
