If someone enters your home, properly invited, and then you ask them to leave, do you give them the chance to walk to the door before calling the police, or do you (try to) get them arrested the instant after you asked them to leave, before they even have had the chance to do so?

(Also, the analogy fails because unlike merely being in the USA without documents, trespassing is a criminal activity, not a mere civil violation.)
