I read that huge tedious New Yorker piece about Altman, “Can He Be Trusted?”, so you don’t have to. Betteridge’s Law applies. Altman does seem to believe the things that he’s saying. Even when they turn out to be false or are the opposite of something he was saying recently. At least he’s apparently not a sex pest. Also, Musk hates him and that’s not nothing.
It’s pretty clear he doesn’t understand what the technology he’s peddling is and does. I think history won’t be kind to him.
