So, now that I've seen some of the secret "fun" endings on shattering spacetime...
Let me get this straight. The Nomai built Sun Station to explode the sun, to power the Ash Twin Project, a.k.a. send the recorded data of a probe launched in a random direction 22 minutes into the past. The idea is to do that "infinite" times to eventually hit on the location of the Eye.
But the sun exploding is bad — as in kills all life in the solar system bad — so the idea was to do it until the probe finds the Eye and then unplug the Ash Twin Project.
Only... what happens when you stop the loop? I mean... the information is no longer sent back, so it can never have existed. This (to me) is very much the same scenario as finding yourself in the Ash Twin Project and not jumping into the black hole again.
The Nomai were always going to rupture spacetime and destroy the universe! 😬
