Basically I create a small permanent inscription on the Bitcoin blockchain using OP_RETURN to commemorate a person, pet, or important milestone.
For example, when my dog Whiskers passed away on Sept 5 earlier this month, I inscribed:
WHISKERS
May 4, 2010 – Sept. 5, 2026
FOREVER LOVED
The inscription becomes part of Bitcoin’s permanent public record and can be independently verified. I also provide a simple viewer URL that renders it in a more human-readable form.
Memorials are just one use case. It can also be a birth, wedding, anniversary, graduation, business founding or another milestone someone considers worth remembering.
I’m charging $21 (16.59 if paid directly in sats - a 21 % discount) per inscription and I’m still looking for honest feedback on whether people see value in the idea or if someone here who would like to try this for a memorial or a milestone.
My sister did this for my mom (Daphne Chun) and actually became my first customer. Looking for customer #2
