I was in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, went to the Polish grocery. I bought some "zur" (sour) basically rye sourdough starter and I am about to make some Zurek soup.
Yum....
Crazy fermented flavors for the win.. well with one exception the sour cream that had begun to ferment that I put on my taco salad yesterday was NOT a win.
But you know sometimes the mold works, sometimes not.
