I am so sorry that you have to deal with this. I hope your mom comes through her hospitalization without catching anything. It is crazy that hospital staff do not mask. For what it's worth (not much!) I had surgery last month and was in the hospital for 6 days afterward. I couldn't mask for the first couple of days because I had a nasogastric tube. I masked as much as possible after it was out. I didn't catch anything -- whew!
