Yeah. At first, I thought cute things were limited to Japan, but I soon realized that not. This was in HK and the plane is from Air China (Taiwan) and everyone was excited to see it, talking pictures and whatnot.

And from tourists here (with the caveat that tourists don't always dress like in their every day life) I'd say that Chinese and Korean tourists have more cute trinkets on their bags and such than Japanese people at the same age.
