I'm constantly blown away by the fact that when the people who lived in this house before me first moved in, their view from this window would have been of a colliery, a big dirty coking plant, and a coal railway. Now my view is woodland, scrub, and an abundance of life. Brownfields are incredibly valuable. I would go hardcore NIMBY to protect this land for all the wildlife that now calls it home.
