#SmokeAndSmokingSongs

I feel like I've linked a lot lately to the classic smoke songs that come to mind. But I haven't linked to this song. Plus, I just learned that Randy Newman wrote this song and released a version two months before 3 Dog Night's, which became a big hit. His is a little different here and there, but this part is the same:

"Open up the window
Let some air into this room
I think I'm almost choking
on the smell of stale perfume

And that cigarette you're smoking
'bout scared me half to death
Open up the window,
let me catch my breath"
