my wife just retired from an admin role at Kohl's. It was her responsibility to schedule interviews and do the on boarding sessions. It was the 2nd worst part of her job because people would:

- refuse to understand that a manager had to be available to interview them
- call off for interviews
- not show up for interviews
- get hired and then not show for the first day
- walk out in the middle of the on boarding session
- never show up after the first day

I guess people don't like money
