Have you given Saulala by [@petrikas](https://mastodon.art/@petrikas ) a try? For me it hits the right balance of simple interface and convenience (it works on my phone or any computer with a browser) while still allowing me a lot of creativity. There are things it can't do, but I see them as welcome limitations that prevent me from spending hours in front of a computer messing with an image.
