AI is a huge problem, but the misrepresentations of what happened in that KDE thread don't help the anti-AI cause.
Projects need a policy. They can't just ignore slop submissions that are overwhelming the capacity of maintainers. Derailing that discussion doesn't prevent use of AI, it enables it. "Hur hur we stopped them sneaking AI into KDE" no you didn't, you just showed up like a bunch of jerks and did the exact opposite.
