Just had word, a space has been reserved for the caravan… I've moved to 147.500MHz FM simplex since we're out of range of the repeater.
Apparently on site there's a meeting taking place with the ride organisers… hopefully they can address one data ambiguity.
Tuesday we received the rider manifest, which is actually excellent, normally we get that mere minutes before the event starts (sometimes *after*)… but we detected one big anomaly: the same rider was apparently down to be riding horses 23 *and* 65. The set of RFID tags was identical for both bib numbers.
Presumably we'll see one bloke with a set of reins in each hand, standing with one foot on each saddle as the horses ride in parallel down the track like a comedy western film. This should be interesting to watch!
