FreeBSD is primarily a server OS (the tagline "The Power to Serve" might be a hint). Why are you expecting desktop OS features on a server OS?

If you're looking for a server OS but really want FreeBSD, perhaps have a look at GhostBSD, it's more geared to desktop use and comes with automatic installation of a desktop environment.

But really, if you expect FreeBSD to be a ready replacement for Linux on the desktop, you'll be disappointed. While there is work underway to have more support for things like proprietary wifi adapters and modern suspend and all that, FreeBSD is currently still mostly a server OS (where it excels imho), so expecting all the commodities of a modern linux distribution is a bit silly and ignorant.
