#Selfhosting question:
At what number of hosted services/software running does it become prudent to distribute them over multiple VPSs? Or do I just scale up the specs of the one VPS I rent?
Like, is it a terrible idea to run, say, a Minecraft server, several Fedi software instances, a Matrix server, a voice chat server, an Owncast server, cloud storage, and so on off the same VPS and just keep upgrading the hardware plan?
Or should I rent multiple VPSs? Or something else entirely?
