Interesting case after interviewing students caught in the exercise:

* A fairly good student used AI to generate a list of items she should remember to write about, but did not use AI to write the assignment. The list included one of the prompts embedded in the assignment.

* Another very good student saw the list and freaked out because didn't write about the strange prompt, and wrote something pointless without AI, because the prompt did not make any sense.

In conclusion, AI can be contagious, even if you didn't use it. 🤯

And there are some students who accepted that they used AI.

I inserted an AI prompt in one of my assignments to add a meaningless sentence in the report. Six out of thirty seven reports included the sentence, which sets the lower bound of AI use.
