I had to change itinerary. Instead of going straight to Genova Piazza Principe, [I am first going to Milano Centrale with Frecciarossa 9512](https://traewelling.de/status/8440124 ), then to Genova with InterCity 637.

We are used to insult Trenitalia because of its chaos, but I must say that the service was impeccable this time. Exactly like me, another person missed the conmection, and we were given a special (hamdwritten LoL) ticket telling us we could go to Milan then Genova, even if our route was supposed to go straight to Genova from Firenze.

Finally, a Trenitalia steward literally escorted us to the train to Milan, and coordinated with the train manager to find a seat for us.

All of this happened **in 8 minutes**.
