The funds that were fraudulently added to my Steam account have been reversed and my account is no longer restricted.
I gotta say, I’m very impressed with Steam’s customer service. If your Apple Account was used for fraud (whether you caused it or not) it would be nuked from orbit with no recourse.
Scammers somehow used my Steam account to scam someone out of nearly $500. How can this happen when I recently changed the password, have Steam Guard enabled, and the only active sessions are on two devices: my phone and computer?
My account is currently restricted as a result.
Anyway, I contacted Steam support. We’ll see what happens. :steam:
