I was unclear on whether they locked the doors or just lied to the kids (told them there was a maintenance issue and pulled over and then the kids voluntarily stayed in the car). I'm seeing both stories.

I cannot remember right now whether you *can* lock someone into a Waymo against their will; I think the door has unlock-on-pull handles on the inside. But I might be wrong!
