If you’re booking weeks at a time that sounds doable. $100 night in tourist areas will easily get you a nice room but that goes waaay sown if you book months

First time I went, i rented a car and drove all over. Did a bunch of tourist stuff but the stand out I mentioned before were big standouts. If you want to stay at the beach, you can take a taxi from the airport to libertad (big city grocery etc)on beach or el zonte which is a tiny little surf town about 20 min down the road. Once you’re there, the bus comes every 20 minutes down the main road and it’s $.50cents. You can take that between el zonte, el tunco (tiny surf town) and la libertad.
That are provides an awful lot to do when you’re not writing.
El zonte is a little hippy surf town and I have 6-8 connections there if you decide that route.
