The absolute classic here is "Alice's Restaurant"

I was prematurely political, so although I was still too young to be involved, I was following stuff pretty closely. We had a few draft dodgers living nearby, and a few university profs who decided to GTFO of Berkley.

I actually find it really odd that there aren't waves of protest songs for these current times, or is it that I'm just out of touch with them? The music business was so much more monolithic back then.
