Your "standard" military inspired first aid kit is not going to survive your first trauma. If you're serious, what you need is ways to clean and suture wounds, splint and bandage broken bones, and as much of a variety of meds as you can get, not just a week's supply of what you already take routinely. What you really want is a doctor in your group.
