"content": "a pair of Bush Stone-curlews are breeding next to our garage. they are tending two eggs that are due to hatch in a fortnight. in the meantime there is always one sitting on them and another keeping guard. i'm told that they swap roles, but its hard to tell since they look the same. there is no organised nest, but they must be good parents-to-be since they've endured storms and the attention of kookaburra, water-dragon, and the occasional dog. #australia #wildlife #bird\nhttps://assets.bne.social/media_attachments/files/115/772/169/237/357/699/original/2959047189f3a821.jpeg\n",
