At least some of the people who stormed the Capitol on 1/6 thought that they were acting in love and courage. Love can be deceived and love and hate can be two sides of the same coin. It seems to me that the factors that are missing right now are civility, which allows us to coexist, and tolerance, which both loves and is governable. And unless we are anarchists, we want a society that is benevolently and usefully governed. Don't we?
