The major accomplishment of my 1-day trip down to NYC to visit Uncle Friday: I finally, at long last, have in my hands a signed, notarized Will for Uncle. I am the named Executor, which will be a huge pain in the ass, but better than 3 years stuck in probate during which his estate will be drained paying for storage costs and the court-appointed Executor. I'm also the beneficiary of what's left after pieces of art are parceled out to various relatives.
