I usually post. Only a handful of fairly large pens feel better unposted to me, most notable the TWSBI Vac700. My hands are just large enough that some pens really need the extra length and weight at the back.

But of course some pens don't post or don't post well, and I don't generally consider it a dealbreaker unless they're very short or very slim.
