On Wednesday I drove into town for a water and waste disposal run. Miss Tabby hates the car, is happy and settled in the tent, and made it clear that was where she was staying. So I needed to be quick.
The town was unexpectedly lovely so I had a look around. I have CRPS. A relatively short stroll meant that food preparation later would be out of the question and staying for a meal in town was impossible with Miss Tabby in the tent.
I was really surprised by the supermarket which was larger than expected and well stocked. It also had a deli counter with a lot of delicious looking salads.
I never, ever, buy salads from a deli counter but I was tired, and for all of the above reasons I succumbed to temptation.
BIG MISTAKE.
I'm not suggesting that everyone should never do this. What I am suggesting is that when you're homeless and living in a tent in a location without water, toilets and hot showers you should protect your digestive tract. Like your life depends on it.
What goes in should never forcefully come out. At all hours. Repeatedly.
Anyhoo, this is how I managed the aftermath of that incredibly bad decision.
