You can stick to the "peaceful" side of this if you want, as long as you understand that you may still be murdered for it.

There's plenty of shit to do that doesn't involve any direct violence to another human being. In fact, most of what needs to be done is not directly violent (if we want a resistance, we gotta feed people, shelter them, build alternative ways of living, etc.), but that won't save you from being a target of their violence. Understand that.
