A random user, who is not previously part of the community, who just joined, asking for money, who is not part of a registered charity.

It would be different is "John Doe" was a member of the community with an established past, who claims to have fallen on hard times. Life is complicated and messy, and sometimes things in life go wrong. I'd likely even share their post and perhaps help them. It would also have been great if they were an official registered charity with a link to their official Mastodon account on their official website.

But the random who just joined now with the sole purpose for quick cash - yeah, bye-bye. Onto the block list you go.
