Spinsters, please read.
I’m increasingly worried about the errors we’ve been having. We’re running on software that’s not been maintained or patched in years, the owner and the maintainer of the site have moved on to other things, and eventually something is going to fall over.
Although some of us (me included) have alts on other instances, a lot of us don’t. I’ll miss (some of ;) you tremendously if Spinster vanishes.
As a very much just-in-case back up, I’m going to create a new instance, running on up-to-date software, and strongly encourage everyone to make an account on it. You don’t have to use the account, but it will be there for emergencies. You’ll be able to import your follows, so if the worst happens we’ll all be able to find each other.
Before Feart asks, no: there will not be an old.version. It’s just not possible. But we can make it look less like a tampon packet.
