This is probably true for any reaserch discipline; observed from outside, they appear isolated inside their own bubble of terms and things only they care about.
But, having read across multiple disciplines, I can honestly say there are a few disciplines where it is way worse (I'm not even sure they're even in this timeline as the rest of us).
