I hate how the "migrants must integrate" thing has been mainstreamed. Sure, participating in society is good for everyone, but "integration" is code for "conform". No-one should be compelled to conform or to suppress visible differences (which is what Starmer is calling for with his "strangers" scare talk). If you tell the people calling for conformity from migrants that THEY must also conform and suppress their individualism, they respond with hypocritical outrage.
