I found a probable cause a while after posting. It said that my root filesystem was full, even though I am usually careful to leave some free space. It seemed odd, so I deleted some files, but no matter how much I deleted it still said that the filesystem was full. I couldn't be bothered to debug/tinkertroon filesystems so I just nuked it after copying my home directory to an HDD. Although I am concerned about my backup because my other drives don't have partition tables, only raw filesystems, and the windows installer said that they were “unallocated”. I hope that windows didn't touch them. Anyway my 'puter's BIOS has a setting to disable the SATA ports so I did that before proceeding.
I was going to install the (((steam))) DRM platform but I forgot to change the email address before the email server that I was using got shoah'd, so I'm going to have to tinkertroon with those tools that crack the (((steam))) DRM. I guess that the demo version of unbeatable is also (((DRM)))‐free, so I can just play that without further tinkertrooning.
I was also curious about the audio latency, so I tried pytaiko, and it just doesn't compare to my troonix system (felt like 30ms when on my troonix system I could measure under 2ms). However, the audio drivers in WinE (**Win**dows **E**mulator) are implemented so poorly that windows still beats WinE for windows games. And it could probably do better considering that I've not done anything about the polling rate of my controllers and I used hdmi audio while on troonix I used the realkek's line out. (I don't know how significant the difference is. )
