ok new problem, im in nvidia on demand mode now but nvidia-smi never shows any processes as running on my dedicated gpu

edit: ok i quit steam (which has a shortcut that makes it run on dedicated gpu) and nvidia-smi showed the memory usage went down so i guess its running on it just nvidia-smi doesn't detect the process for some reason?

edit2: ok well it seems to be working and i can force processes to use the dedicated gpu with `__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia`

wish i knew how to force the integrated gpu, but whatever
