Avowed is assuaging my concerns about whether or not it'll run on Steamdeck by appearing more and more mid as release approaches.
i am, however, enjoying the comedy of gamers posting "i loved the last Pillars game, but this looks woke." like okay, sir, you put up 100 hours on a rpg where 80% of the quests distill down to "colonialism is bad and class struggle is real" and then saw some bright purple lighting & particle effects in a trailer and thought "ffffufuck this game is gonna be woke!"
