Biometric and personally identifiable information MUST fall under HIPPA protections or a similar law. It must be financially and legislatively painful to collect someone's PII, behaviora, or biometric datal. And not by a little, either.
Fines for violations must be proportional to annual revenue and must trigger regulatory sanctions and regular audits.
The consequence for harming user privacy must be swift, severe, and exceptionally punitive.
It is time to TAX THE DATA.
