Went to the local street fair (HOT!). Bicycled half the way, which was a good choice (traffic apparently a disaster down near there, no parking).
BUT, chatted with the "EV Car Club" guys and (maybe not surprisingly) they are Elon-stans there.
Me: "What used EV should I get? Not a Tesla."
Them: "Tesla Model 3... " (rambling on)
Me: "How about non Tesla models? I really am trying to avoid Tesla, for multiple reasons..."
(some useful information about why Nissan Leaf batteries are not well designed) then
"Oh, Tesla FSD is great, I just had it drive me down <extremely windy/dangerous local road> and I didn't have to put my hands on the wheel!!"
other guy (trying to answer my question): "There's these models "... and (glancing at my bike) "you are probably income qualified to get a free EV..."
