I knew colleagues and students while in London who went everywhere by bike. I was in awe of them - I wasn’t brave enough. My hearing even then just made it too dicey. I cycled while in Cambridge…but eventually stopped because I had one near miss too many and lost my nerve. Since then my hearing has deteriorated further, so I sadly fear my cycling days are behind me. But I mostly walk into Norwich, occasional bus!
