If not, how much do you hate the green? you could use it as a base for a camo' pattern. Cover most of it with blobs of dark green, light and dark brown. Add shading/highlighting/weathering to taste.

Also, I would make the inside a different colour to the outside. Keep the green for one and change the other for something that contrasts with it. Light/dark or colour wheel.
