nah, it's about the petrodollar. the military part is just the sharp end of the stick. the reason why this is all happening is that usa spent the 80s to 2020s burning inordinate resources trying to stop defection. saddam, gaddafi, assad, and all the rest, they were attacked because they wanted to not use dollars. without dollars USA debt comes due. if israel fails to function they are toast as well because that money comes from usa, it will fall on its arse with all they have is a bazillion spook adjacent tech industry. no petrodollar, they will have to be vacating gaza and selling their gear to arabs because usa will be broke.
