Got my repeat blood test results today, and I still do not understand how cholesterol works. I don't drink alcohol, have never smoked, am not overweight, walk every day and yet am still right at the border of 'prescribe statins'. Even massively cutting back on saturated fat over 6 months has barely changed the numbers.
Also I don't get why HDL is good but if it pushes your total over 5 it's bad.
