Ok, I'm moving beyond my kneejerk reaction towards artcraft. After three decades of glacial development in the open source world around software like LibreOffice and GIMP, we seem to witness a cambrian explosion of software clones of MS Office, Adobe's suite, CAD software and more. All open source, all supporting multiple platforms, all free of charge. Whether we like it or not, agentic coding appears to have democratised software accessibility.
Mind you, I'm NOT saying LibreOffice or GIMP are bad. They just don't resonate with the expectations of hundreds of millions of people. People just hate Windows, and if Wordcraft can get them to Linux, then all power to them honestly.
And this isn't going away, as particularly Chinese LLMs have open sourced their models, so you can download them and run them yourself.
