Message from my best mate, with whom I was at school:
"On the Jubilee line, heading home from a concert, a young woman offered me her seat. I politely declined. A second one did, I politely declined. The third, a young guy stood up and told me to take his seat. I accepted defeat and thanked him. They all agreed I should have taken the first. Three people, in succession, that's harsh!"
I asked if he'd confessed to his kids. He said no, but he was sure his wife would tell!
