Naw, Petty and the Heartbreakers are #2 on my list of "bands I like that I don't talk to anyone else about because the people who DO like this band besides me never listened to the lyrics and are instead weird nazis."
Tom Petty was literally NEVER singing about armed cracker republicans fighting "wokeness." Never. Trust me. That's not who Petty was.
But try telling the nazis that love his music because "THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN" that and you'll get nothing but heartache.
