I would be more likely to believe that remote work is somehow responsible for more job loss than AI if companies doing RTO mandates weren't also doing mass layoffs. Also would be interested to know if using RTO mandates as backdoor layoffs is accounted for- arguably the goal is the layoff, not the RTO, so a bit of a cheat to attribute a causal connection.

I haven't ready that study to see if this is accounted for but some obvious questions that came to mind.
