People who continue to mask are often insulted as "germophobes".
First, to label it a phobia is of course ableist.
But i would agree call myself germocautious.
And with good reason.
Since the start of the ongoing pandemic one thing has been made painfully clear: People cannot be trusted not to spread their known or unknown germs.
Just one basic example.
If the pandemic should have taught us one thing it is this: When sick, stay home. But people did not even keep such a basic practice up.
