Question: Would you be opposed to expanding test/integration-test.py into a full test suite?
I'd prefer to use Pytest, but I could work with unittest if you care about sticking to the Python standard library. See https://codeberg.org/airtower/logbookd-test for the kind of tests I have in mind, note that one of the tests there (test_logread.py::test_read) requires the changes from my unit-filter branch (which I'd want to send patches for, but preferably more extensive testing first).
