my sympathy to the man having to treat someone in that way who's extremely nice, must eat at his very core so if he's treating a partner that way by their request then I'll say this.
Do not mistreat him or stab him in the back etc. since that would mean he's only going to do that for whoever is dating him and 1 small screw up will damage him and his trust in others for life.
I mean that in the most literal Sense.
