I agree and yet, actual question: my very limited experience of instagram is that it’s so algorithmic now, you can’t count on seeing anything just because people you “follow” post it.
Anyway I just don’t get how anyone would consider it useful for organizing a protest or any other event. It’s not an email list where you can blast out info and be roughly certain it will be received.
I mean, totally separate from the concerns about ownership and influence… it just doesn’t feel like the right medium or tool.
Am I wrong? (Very likely)
